Director:  Arturo Prins

Editor & Cinematographer:  Arturo Prins

Genre:  Documentary

Running time: 73 min.

A world historical moment. The portrait of a Nice paralyzed in quarantine. The small virus Cov-19, becomes a revolting giant on our planet. Its inhabitants secluded in their homes leave the streets deserted. From a terrace with a swimming pool, like James Stuart in the Hitchcock film "Rear window", a telephoto camera will film this confinement, its streets, its architectures, seagulls and landscapes day after day. The last day before the quarantine ends, the camera goes outside to meet the few who go to play sports or walk their children. They tell us about their feelings, their fears and doubts, and what they would say to the virus if they could talk to it. The landscapes also speak and nature especially, with its turquoise sea, the famous Promenade des Anglais and pebble beach, its alps, boats, lighthouses, tractors, gendarmerie helicopters, docks and airports paralyzed, we will discover an incredible Nice, never seen before, like a ghost town.

DAMN NEW YORK - 2019 -

Director:  Arturo Prins

Screenwriter:  Arturo Prins y Julio Camba

Genre:  Documentary

Running time: 78 min.

Damn New York, is a letter-film based on the travel diaries of a painter during his stay in the city in 2012. His voice runs over an atypical Manhattan; a puzzle of interlocking neighbourhoods and people that belies the mirage of a city and its hypnosis, its disenchantment, the hidden face of its luminescence. An unlove story letter, far from postcards, a reflection of ambition. Damn New York could be the portrait of a disappointment, a city myth that slowly devours its inhabitants and requires them, a devilish contract that exhaust all its energies. Portrait of newyorkers and not its occasional tourist, those wills running after a desperate ambition. Succeed or survive. A trip to a harsh winter, not its low temperatures but the one you could suffer through its inhospitable cold citizens. New York is not what it was decades ago; their creativity and strength agonize.

Boomerang 11M - 2008 -

Director:  Arturo Prins

Edition: Arturo Prins

Genre:  Documentary

Running time: 75 min.

The major terrorist attack that Spain has experienced, the fateful March 11, 2004, and the social and political turmoil resulted in the following days, serve as an argument for a documentary that tries to find causes and consequences of what happened. The story goes back to the beginning of the Iraq war and the controversial meeting in the Azores islands between Aznar, Bush and Blair presidents. Bomerang 11M tries to explain why Spain became the target of Islamist terrorism, and how the government handled the tragedy before their president elections. This documentary is directly inspired by the movie "Redacted" by Brian de Palma. Arturo Prins, recognizes that after watching the film he felt he had to do something similar in Spain, with the terrible attack of the 11M, and the management of the tragedy by the Aznar conservative government. We go back to the beginning of the Iraq war supported by the controversial Bush-Blair-Aznar presidents, comparing it with the Vietnam fiasco.
