OVERVIEW :
Under the banyan tree is a documentary exploring the inner world, memories and experiences of a 103-year-old Philippine woman, Nana Jessie. The life of a woman who at 18 left her birthplace in Cuba, to travel across land and ocean all by herself, to meet her future husband, Marcial Lichauco, in Manila. This is the portrait of a life full of adventure and unusual situations, embracing from before World War II to the present day. A house packed with old books, antiques, exotic objects, stuffed wild animals, photo albums, cats, dogs and a huge two hundred year old banyan tree next to the Pasig River, will be the supporting actors at the background of her memories. Through them and a clownish historical guide named Carlos Celdrán, we will discover the history of a country, the traces of the Spanish and North American colonization, as well as the violent Japanese invasion during World War II.

MEMORY OF THE PROJECT
Everyone likes to be happy. The couple is one of the ways to be, but what would happen if the couple as we know it, could make us even happier, wouldn't it be logical to find out if the relationships we maintain could make us happier and fuller?
​
STATE OF IMPURITY enters into this question. If on one hand it is true that the couple gives happiness n the other brings many headaches. One must wonder if it is not a contradiction, why it happens and if there is a way to avoid the pain that comes with wanting. STATE OF IMPURITY is a film that speaks with simplicity and honesty of our current relationships, their problems, their blind spots, pointing to a reflection with its unexpected ending.

STATE OF IMPURITY is an indie movie that addresses one of the most feared and exciting facets of what a couple means today. It is also one of those films that can cause a big impact on the billboard. Shot in one location in the country side of Buenos Aires, Ingeniero Maschwitz. We believe that it is a hot topic in society and that could be of great interest to the audience. Demonstrate that many people keep the desire in the closet, repressing it or giving it free rein, but ultimately hiding it with hypocrisy.

SYNOPSIS
​
Damn New York, is a letter-film based on the travel diaries of a painter during his stay in the city in 2012. His voiceover runs an atypical Manhattan; a puzzle of interlocking neighbourhoods and people that belies the mirage of a city and its hypnosis, its disenchantment, the hidden face of its luminescence. An unlove story letter, far from postcards, a reflection of ambition. Damn New York could be the portrait of a disappointment, a city myth that slowly devours its inhabitants and requires them, a devilish contract that exhaust all their energies. Portrait of newyorkers and not their occasional tourist, those wills running after a desperate ambition. Succeed or survive. A trip to a harsh winter, not their low temperatures but the one you could suffer through its inhospitable cold citizens. New York is not what it was decades ago; their creativity and strength agonize.
